The Greatest reach of Love in history was when the "Unlimited God" became "limited man" in Christ. He put every man, woman boy and girl who had ever lived . . . and would ever live . . . on planet earth . . . in a place where every barrier was taken away. Because of this . . . they . . . we . . . are included in in Christ.
We have "good news" to share. Everyone is included . . . God has "unboxed" the World in Christ!!!
When unexpected things or events take place in our lives . . . it can feel like someone threw a "curve ball" that you just couldn't figure out. You might feel like you "struck out" or worse . . . feel like life will never be the same again. Today we find that God is not "stuck" when we feel we are. He can take unexpected "twists" in life . . . even bad things and work them out for our good.
God in Christ broke the power of hostility that came into the world through sin. Ever since "the garden" where Adam and Eve chose their own way . . . that separation, began the journey of enmity/hostility. Every relationship was effected including our relationship with our selves. Broken relationships, the torment of fear, hate, distrust, offense. But Jesus broke down the wall of enmity/hostility bring the prospect of peace with God . . . with ourselves . . . and all others was made possible. Let Holy Spirit apply the reality to your life as you listen.
The change made in our lives is all about Him. He did more than give us a good example to follow in Jesus. He did more than provide forgiveness of our sin . . . Our condition was not just that we were stuck in bad behavior "mode". We were like "Zombies" . . . the "walking dead" . . . dead in our sin. He made us alive in Christ. Living in Him and Him in us. A changed and growing life . . . continually engerized by Him showing up in our desires, attitudes, choices, behaviors, relationships . . .
Continuing the series on Ephesians. Paul tells the believers his prayer for them includes a three fold request . . . that God would reveal to them His calling/purpose in their lives . . . the greatness of His empowerment to live out that purpose and how valuable they were to God. Living out that purpose brings hope . . . future focus that motivates us from within because He is at work in us.
