We have reached the part of the story where Joseph extends grace to his Brothers. Just think, they left Joseph for dead, never to see him again. Now there is a famine and no food to be found anywhere except for in Egypt. Joseph has a decesion to make: a) Show them grace and mercy even through his brothers wrong doings OR b) Turn them away with no food to starve and perish as a form of revenge. Listen in as Pastor Calvin explains to us how Joseph extended Grace to his brothers, just as God extends grace to us.
Sometimes we may feel that God is a long way off. That He has removed His hand from our lives and is nowhere to be found. But the truth of the matter is, He is always right here with you through the best of times and through the worst of times. The lyrics to one of my favorite songs goes like this:
"Sometimes it’s hard to hear Your voice, my God.
Is the reason that You’re whispering because
You’re one step away?"
Just remember that the next time you feel lost and alone. He is right there with you. As we continue our teaching series entitled, "Joseph - An Overcomer", we will see how God is restoring trust within Joseph again, not just between him and the Lord, but with his own family.
We now find ourselves witnessing the first "Family Reunion" of Joseph and his brothers. Joseph is now governer of Egypt and they are the only ones with grain in the whole land. Jacob has instructed his sons (Joseph's brothers) to go into Egypt and buy some grain so they could eat. Listen as Pastor Calvin teaches us the importance of this encounter, as we continue our teaching series entitled, "Joseph - An Overcomer".
Joseph has been faithful in doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord, but due to lies, Joseph has now found himself in Jail. In this teaching, we begin to see a change take place. He begins to find his way back to the top, but this time it isn't by his own strength and words, but by God Himself. Listen in as Pastor Calvin explains how Joseph wasn't forgotten, but NOW is remembered by the Lord.
