When things are going great and everything seems to be "all together", be watchful of the enemy's tricks. Notice I didn't say, "be fearful of the enemy's tricks". God doesn't want us to live in fear, but we should always be watchful of the enemy's tactics. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He does't want you to live in peace and have joy. In this Podcast entitled, "Best of Times/Worst of Times", everything seems to have been going well for Elijah, but we see in 1 Kings 19, he becomes fearful and runs away. Listen in as Pastor Calvin explains how the Lord was able to deal with Elijah duing his time of fear.
We were all born into sin. That's why we are sinners, but by the grace of God that's not who you are any longer, that's who you were. Listen in as Pastor Calvin explains 1 Kings 18 and applies it to how we can allow the Lord to burn away the sins of our past so we can walk in freedom.
1 Kings 18:1-2; 17-24; 36-41
There is so much corruption and perversion in the world that we live in today, it's no wonder that we struggle to raise our children to do what is right instead of what the world says is acceptable. Pastor Calvin teaches us this Mothers Day to stand firm and be the faithful mothers (and faithful fathers) that He has called us to be. In this generation, we see a trend that says that we must seek the approval of our children, when in reality it is the other way around.
As we continue with our teaching series, "Connections Buffering", Pastor Calvin teaches us how to take "A Step of Faith". Elijah took a huge step of faith when he revived the widow's son (1 Kings 17:17-24). Are we willing to take steps of faith in our life? Are we willing to go the extra mile and trust God? Listen and be blessed.
